Test/survey

   Standalone in a content area

• Copied if you have modified the content.

• Set as unavailable and appear in the Assessment/Test Manager or Survey Manager as Copied from [old course ID].

Note: If you are teaching a MyMathLab or MyEconLab course, customized tests and homework assignments created using the MyMathLab or MyEconLab area of the Control Panel will not be copied to the new course. For more information, click the MyMathLab or MyEconLab Instructor Help link from the Control Panel.

   In a folder

• Copied if you have modified the content.

• Set as unavailable and appear in the Assessment/Test Manager or Survey Manager as Copied from [old course ID].  No longer included in the folder.

   In a learning unit

• Copied if you have modified the content.

• Set as unavailable and appear in the Assessment/Test Manager  or  Survey Manager as Copied from [old course ID].  No longer included in the learning unit.

TestGen test

Copied to the Copied from [old course ID] folder for the content area in which it was located.

Assignment (content type)

Does not copy.

Folder – Modified or moved

   Standalone in a content area

Copied to the Copied from [old course ID] folder for the content area in which it was located. Any tests or surveys in the folder are removed.

   In another folder

Remains in the original folder, which is copied to the Copied from [old course ID] folder.

Item – Modified or moved

   Standalone in a content area

Copied to the Copied from [old course ID] folder for the content area in which it was located.

   In a folder

Remains in the original folder, which is copied to the Copied from [old course ID] folder.

   In a learning unit

Remains in the original learning unit, which is copied to the Copied from [old course ID] folder.

eBook link

Do not copy. You need to create appropriate links in the new course.

Learning unit – Modified or moved

Copied to the Copied from [old course ID] folder for the content area in which it was located. Any tests or surveys in the learning unit are removed.

Course link

Copied to the Copied from [old course ID] folder for the content area in which it was located.

External link

Copied to the Copied from [old course ID] folder for the content area in which it was located.

Pools for tests/surveys

Copied if modified and appear in the Pool Manager as Copied from [old course ID].

Announcements

Copied.

Content added to course tools (such as Digital Dropbox, Discussion Board, calendar)

Does not copy.

Course menu customizations (such as a new content area, tools area, or external link).

Copied and appear in the new course's course menu.

Content area

• Copied and the content area appears in the new course's course menu.

• Content is set as unavailable and appears as Copied from [old course ID].

Items added to the Gradebook

Copied. However, grades and other student data is cleared for a new course.

Grades stored in gradebook

The gradebook is cleared of all student performance data and is ready for a new course.
