When you add an item to a content area, you can specify one or more files to attach to the item. If you attach a media file, you can set an option to display the file directly in the content area page and then set options that determine the placement and behavior of the image on the page.
The following procedure assumes you are doing one of the following actions:
You are adding an item to a content area and are attaching a media file to that item. You have selected Display media file within the page. When you click Submit to save the item, the File Options page appears.
You are modifying an item and have clicked Modify next to a media file you attached. The File Options page appears.
To set file options on the File Options page:
Under Multimedia options, you can set any of the following options or accept the default settings:
Alignment – Select Left, Center, or Right to position the image on the content area page.
Placement – Select Above Text or Below Text to place the image above or below the item name on the content area page.
Border – Select a number from the drop-down list to determine the thickness of the border drawn around the image. Leave the number at 0 if you do not want a border.
Alternate Text – Enter text that appears in a pop-up box when the user points to the image.
URL – If you want the image to act as a link, enter the URL for the website you want to have launched when a user clicks the image.
Launch in new window – Select Yes if you specified a URL and want the website to be launched in a new window. Otherwise, it will be launched in the CourseCompass window.
Click Submit, then click OK.
