Adding the course home page

Depending on the course materials you selected when you created your course, the Course Home page may not appear by default in your course. As an instructor, however, you can add the course home page to your course.

Notes:

• When you add the course home page to your course, it appears as a course menu button in both the instructor and student view of the course. You can also remove the course home page from your course, if you decide not to use it.

• You can set the course entry point of the course to the course home page or to another page, such as Announcements.

• If you have enabled a Section Instructor to access your course, he or she can also add or remove the course home page.

To add the course home page to your course:

1. Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.

2. Click Control Panel.

3. Click Create/Remove Course Home under Course Tools.
   
   CourseCompass displays a message, depending on whether or not course home is already in your course:

Course Home does not appear in the course menu.

Do you want to create a Course Home button in the course menu?  

4. Click Submit.
