Changing content type availability

By default, all the different types of content you can add to your course are available. However, if you know that you won't be adding any content of a particular type to your course, you can deselect it so it no longer appears on the pages accessed through the Control Panel. For example, if you will not be using TestGen tests in your course, you can deselect this content type to remove TestGen Test from the Add toolbar that appears on numerous pages.

To make a content type unavailable:

1. Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.

2. Click Control Panel.

3. Click Manage Tools under Course Options.

4. Click Content Type Availability.

5. Deselect the content types you want to make unavailable.

6. Click Submit, then click OK.
