Customizing courses>>Organizing course content
You can remove a content area, tool area, course link, or external link from your course.
To remove a course area, tool area, course link, or external link:
Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.
Click Control Panel.
Click Manage Course Menu under Course Options.
This page lists the current set of content areas, tools areas, course links, and external links for the course. Next to each area are buttons to modify and remove the area from the course.
Click Remove next to the course area, tool area, course link, or external link you want to remove.
Click OK in response to the warning message that appears in a pop-up window.
The course area or link is removed, and the corresponding button is removed from the course menu.
Notes:
If you remove a tool area, it will be removed from the course menu; however, the tool category will remain visible and accessible in the Control Panel so the tool is available for future use in the course. For example, if you remove the Discussion Board area from the course menu, a link to Discussion Boards still appears in the Course Tools area of the Control Panel.
If you remove a content area, the area will be removed from both the course menu and the Content Areas section of the Control Panel. The contents of the content area will also be removed permanently.
For information on how you can remove content within a content area, see Removing content from content areas.
