Customizing courses>>Organizing course content
You can control which navigation buttons appear in the course menu on the left of each course page, what the buttons are named, and what they link to. You can also add, modify, and remove navigation buttons and content areas in your course.
To manage area availability:
Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.
Click Control Panel.
Click Manage Course Menu under Course Options.
(Optional) To modify a button's name or availability, click Modify next to the area.
(Optional) To remove a button from the course, click Remove next to the area.
(Optional) To change the order of the buttons on the menu, select a number from the drop-down list next to each button name.
The page automatically refreshes after you make your selection, and the button order is also refreshed on the course menu.
Click OK.
CourseCompass displays the buttons you added or modified in the course menu. If you added a new content area, CourseCompass displays the new content area in the Content Area section of the Control Panel.
Notes:
If an area is unavailable to students, a message appears under the area on the Manage Course Menu page. To make a content area visible to students, click Modify next to the content area.
You can also add content areas, tool links, course links, and external links to your course.
If you remove a course tool, the tool will be removed from the course menu; however, the area will still be visible to you in the Control Panel.
If you remove a content area, the area will be removed from both the course menu and the Control Panel. The contents of the content area will also be removed permanently.
