Managing users & groups>>Listing or modifying users
At times, you may have a student who enrolled in the wrong class section and needs to drop your course. You can place that student on inactive status. After you do so, the student can no longer access your course and the student's name appears grayed out (unavailable) in your gradebook.
To place a student on inactive status in your course:
Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.
Click Control Panel.
Click List/Modify Users under User Management.
Do one of the following to find the student you want to put on inactive status:
List all the students by clicking the List All tab, then clicking the List All button.
Search for students:
To the left of the student's name, click Inactive.
Click Submit.
Notes:
To return a student to active status, repeat steps 1–4, click Active next to the student's name, then click Submit. To remove the student permanently, contact Product Support.
A student on inactive status in your course can enroll, without a new student access code, in another course created with the same course materials. That student should follow the steps for "Retaking a course" in CourseCompass Student Help or "Enrolling in another course" in the Student Quick Start Guide.
