Managing student status

At times, you may have a student who enrolled in the wrong class section and needs to drop your course. You can place that student on inactive status. After you do so, the student can no longer access your course and the student's name appears grayed out (unavailable) in your gradebook.

To place a student on inactive status in your course:

  1. Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.

  2. Click Control Panel.

  3. Click List/Modify Users under User Management.

  4. Do one of the following to find the student you want to put on inactive status:

  1. To the left of the student's name, click Inactive.

  2. Click Submit.
