There are three user roles available in CourseCompass. What a user can see and do in CourseCompass depends on his or her role.
· Students can view all available course content.
· Instructors control all aspects of the course through the Control Panel.
· Section Instructors first enroll as students and are then assigned Section Instructor status by course Instructors. Section Instructors control most, but not all, aspects of the course through the Control Panel. For example, Section Instructors can access the course gradebook, edit assessments, and modify course content. The most notable operations that Section Instructors cannot perform are:
o Change the course name or description
o Change the course and course enrollment start and end dates
o Create, copy, or delete a course
o Allow another instructor to copy the course
o View or manage users
