Making students active

Students can be either active or passive participants in a Virtual Classroom session. You determine which features are available to students in each role.

Students are active if the pictures to the right of their names in the Role column on the bottom left appear in color; student are passive if the pictures appear in gray.

Passive participants can ask to become active by "raising their hands" in a Virtual Classroom session. If they do so, you see a hand icon in the column to the right of the Role column.

To make a student active, click the hand icons to the right of his or her name. The student will receive a message indicating the change in status.
