Using course tools>>Digital Dropbox
You can pick up student work from your Digital Dropbox. To do so:
Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.
Click Control Panel.
Click Digital Dropbox under Course Tools.
Click the link to the file you want to pick up.
Students select the titles (such as weekly assignment) for their files. Look at the "Submitted by" line to identify the student. The "Received on" date and time you see is the same time as the student submitted the file. CourseCompass handles the sending and receiving as simultaneous events.
Notes:
Your Digital Dropbox belongs to you. If, however, you have enabled a Section Instructor to access your course you share the Dropbox with him or her. At no time will students be able to see the files submitted to you in your Digital Dropbox.
If a student sends you a file while you are working in CourseCompass, you will not see it until you close and reopen your Digital Dropbox.
Depending on your setup, the file may open in CourseCompass or a prompt may appear that gives you the choice of opening the file or saving it on your computer.
If the file opens in CourseCompass, you can save it by selecting File > Save As from your browser's menu.
If a prompt appears, click Open to launch the program in the application with which it was created (presuming you have the application on your computer). Click Save it to disk to display the Save As box, and then indicate where you want to save the file. Click OK to return to the Control Panel.
