Using course tools

The Electric Blackboard

The Electric Blackboard is like an online memo pad. You can open the Electric Blackboard and take notes in it while you are developing or teaching a course. When you come back to the course at a later date, your notes will still be available in The Electric Blackboard.

To take notes in the Electric Blackboard:

1. Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.

2. Click Tools in the course menu.

3. Click The Electric Blackboard. A separate window opens, displaying a large box for your notes.

4. Type your notes.

5. Click Submit, then click OK.

Note: You can close The Electric Blackboard window by clicking the X in the top-right corner.

When you next open the Electric Blackboard, your notes will still be there.
