Exporting assessments

You can add an assessment from one CourseCompass course to another. First, you must export the assessment, which means downloading a copy of the assessment from the course and storing it on your computer. Then, you can import the assessment into the other course, which means taking a copy of the assessment from your computer and adding it to the course.

Note: You can export tests and pools, but not surveys.

• To export a test:

1. Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.

2. Click Control Panel.

3. Click Assessment/Test Manager under Assessment.

4. Click Export at the top of the page.

5. Select the assessment you want to export from the list of available assessments.

6. Click Submit.

7. Click the here link to download the exported file.

8. Follow the on-screen instructions to save the file to your computer.

Tip: Note the name of the exported test so you can easily retrieve it when you want to import it to another course. The file has a .zip extension, for example, asmt_22305516_1.zip.

• To export a pool:

1. Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.

2. Click Control Panel.

3. Click Pool Manager under Assessment.

4. Click Export to the right of the pool you want to export.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions to save the file to your computer.

Tip: Note the name of the exported pool so you can easily retrieve it when you want to import it to another course. The file has a .zip extension, for example, PoolExportFile_martino97398_525761_1.
