Importing assessments

You can add an assessment from one CourseCompass course to another. First, you must export the assessment, which means downloading a copy of the assessment from the course and storing it on your computer. Then, you can import the assessment into the other course, which means taking a copy of the assessment from your computer and adding it to the course.

Note: You can import tests and pools, but not surveys.

To import a test or pool:

1. Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.

2. Click Control Panel.

3. Under Assessment, click the link for Assessment/Test Manager or Pool Manager.

4. Click Import at the top of the page.

5. Click Browse to locate the assessment file on your computer.

Tip: The file has a .zip extension, for example, asmt_22305516_1.zip (a test) or PoolExportFile_martino97398_525761_1 (a pool).

6. Select the file, then click Open.

7. Click Submit, then click OK if necessary.

You can now access the imported test or pool through the manager, as you would any other assessment. The assessment appears last in the list of assessments on the page.
