Assessing student work>>Creating and managing questions>>About question types
Rather than create your own questions when you create or modify an assessment, you can add questions from an existing assessment or pool of questions. In selecting questions, you can search one or more pools and assessments by question type, question category, or keyword to narrow down your selection. You can preview the questions that meet your criteria and select the ones to add to your assessment.
For example, you may want to create a test with multiple-choice questions drawn from a category of questions called Marketing Definitions. You can select one or more pools and assessments that you know have questions in this category, search for those questions, preview the ones found, and decide which ones to add to your test.
Notes:
You can add specific questions drawn from pools and tests to other pools and tests. You can also add specific questions drawn from surveys and pools to a survey.
Rather than adding specific questions, you can add random blocks of questions to an assessment.
