Assessing student work>>Creating and managing questions>>Adding and removing questions
This procedure assumes that you are in the process of creating or modifying an assessment; you have selected Fill in the Blank in the Add drop-down list on the Canvas page, and clicked GO; and you are now on the Add/Modify Fill in the Blank Question page.
Notes:
If you enabled creation settings for this assessment, additional fields appear on the Add/Modify Question page.
Certain steps in the following procedure apply to tests or tests and pools only, as noted; they do not apply to surveys.
To create and add a fill-in-the-blank question to an assessment:
On the Add/Modify Fill in the Blank Question page, enter the question text, and select a display format for the text.
(Tests only) Enter a point value for the question.
(Tests and pools only) Under Answers:
Select the number of correct answers you want to provide for the missing word or phrase. CourseCompass displays a box for each answer. For fewer boxes, click Remove to the right of any box you do not need.
In each Answer box, enter one of the correct answers.
(Tests and pools only) Under Feedback, enter a comment to be displayed to students for a correct response and for an incorrect response. As with the question text, you select the display format for your feedback text.
Click Submit.
(Optional) Add another question of the same or different type.
Click OK on the Canvas page to save the assessment.
