Assessing student work>>Creating and managing questions>>Adding and removing questions
You can remove a question from a test, survey, or question pool. Removing a question permanently deletes it unless it still resides in another assessment or pool. For example, if you add a question from a pool to a test and later remove it from the test, the question is still available in the pool. Similarly, if you remove the question from the pool, it is still available in the test.
Caution: After a student has taken an assessment, you should make only textual changes to it. Do not add or remove questions, for example. CourseCompass displays a warning message if you attempt to modify an assessment that one or more students have already taken. Ignoring this warning can invalidate existing assessment attempts and may corrupt the entire assessment and related gradebook entries.
To remove a question from an assessment:
Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.
Click Control Panel.
Click the appropriate assessment manager link under Assessment, for example, Assessment/Test Manager.
Click Modify next to the assessment you want to modify.
Click Remove next to the question you want to remove.
Click OK to confirm the deletion.
Note: If you have already deployed the assessment to a content area, you can remove the question by clicking the link to the content area in the Control Panel, clicking Modify next to the assessment, and then clicking Modify the test (or Modify the survey). Locate the question and click Remove.
