Assessing student work>>Creating TestGen tests>>Modifying TestGen tests
You can edit TestGen tests by changing the test description and changing test-taking and review options in your CourseCompass course. However, you must make changes to the test contents in the TestGen application, which requires downloading and uploading the test as described here.
If you have the original test on your computer, you can edit that copy in TestGen and then upload it to your CourseCompass course, overwriting the old version of the test. A copy of the edited test remains on your computer. If you do not have a copy of the test on your computer, you need to download the test to your computer, edit it in TestGen, and then upload it back to your CourseCompass course.
Important: You can add and remove questions on a TestGen test even if students have taken it. Therefore, you may want to check the gradebook to see whether any students have taken a test before you edit it.
To edit a TestGen test when you do have a copy of the test on your hard drive:
Open the test file in TestGen. Edit it as needed and save it.
Save the test file with a .tst extension.
In your CourseCompass course, upload the TestGen test you just modified. The newly uploaded version of the test overwrites the previous version.
