Assessing student work>>Creating TestGen tests
To take TestGen tests, your students need to install the TestGen plug-in. Although students can access installation instructions in the CourseCompass Student online Help, you may want to print the procedures shown here and distribute them to your class.
Notes for students:
The TestGen plug-in is updated regularly, so you may need to re-install it to take advantage of the latest version.
TestGen tests look different from tests created in CourseCompass, with different navigation buttons.
To install the TestGen plug-in:
In the Resources area on the My CourseCompass page, click Get the TestGen plug-in under TestGen.
Click the link on the left of the web page to download the latest TestGen plug-in.
Review the information under Before You Install.
Under Installation Instructions, click the link for your platform (Windows or Macintosh) to download the appropriate setup file to your computer. You can download either a .zip (compressed) file or the .exe (executable) file.
Follow the on-screen instructions to save and run the setup file.
