Uploading TestGen tests

After you create a test in TestGen, you upload it to your course.

To upload a TestGen test:

  1. Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.

  2. Click Control Panel.

  3. Click TestGen Manager under Assessment.

  4. Click Add TestGen Test at the top of the page.

  1. Under Name, enter a name for the test.

  2. (Optional) Under Description, describe the test, and select a display format for the text. When you make a test available, students see the description below the link to the assessment.

  3. (Optional) Under Instructions, enter test-taking instructions and select a display format for the text. When you make a test available, students see the test instructions when they take the test.

  4. Click Submit.

  1. Click Browse to locate the test file on your computer. The file has a .tst extension.

Note: By default, TestGen saves .tst files in the Program Files\TestGen\tests folder on your computer.

  1. Select the .tst file, then click Open.

  2. Click Submit to upload the file.

  1. (Optional) Modify test options to specify test variation, time limit, test presentation, and test review settings.

Note: You cannot set or modify point values for TestGen questions from inside CourseCompass; instead, you must do so within the TestGen application.

  1. Click Submit, then click OK.
