You can use assessments in CourseCompass to evaluate student progress in your course. The following types of assessments are available for you to use in CourseCompass:
CourseCompass tests, which can be used for diagnostic, practice, and grading purposes. Test results are recorded in the gradebook. CourseCompass courses typically include publisher-provided tests you can use wholesale or modify and then assign to your students.
Surveys, which provide a way to elicit feedback from students, for example, to poll them on some issue or to conduct course evaluations. Survey results are recorded in the gradebook but have a checkmark next to the survey name, rather than a score, to indicate completion.
Pools, which are repositories for questions you can add to tests or surveys. You can categorize pool questions for quick and convenient identification and inclusion.
TestGen tests, which you create outside of CourseCompass, using the TestGen application, then upload into your course. You can then make the tests available to students. TestGen test results are recorded in the gradebook, as are the results of other tests.
Many courses come with assessments provided by the publisher.
