Using the gradebook>>Creating and managing items
You can remove an item from the gradebook if you explicitly added or uploaded it to the gradebook.
To remove an item from the gradebook:
Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.
Click Control Panel.
Click Gradebook under Assessment.
Click Manage Items at the top of the page.
Click Remove next to the item you want to delete.
Click OK, then click OK again.
Notes:
Gradebook items that are automatically created (tests, surveys, and assignments) cannot be removed from the gradebook until you remove them from the content area where they were deployed (if a test or survey) or created (if an assignment).
If you remove an assessment from a content area and no students have worked on it, the associated gradebook item is automatically removed.
Instead of permanently removing an item from the gradebook, you may want to modify the gradebook item to hide it from student view or not count the item in gradebook calculations.
If you do not see a Remove button in the gradebook, you must first remove the assessment from the content area.
