Using the gradebook>>Grading student work

Deleting assignment files

A student submits an assignment by uploading one or more files to the course. When you are finished viewing and grading the assignment, you may want to delete the uploaded files associated with it.

You can delete the following types of files from your course:

To delete assignment files:

  1. Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.

  2. Click Control Panel.

  3. Click Gradebook Views under Assessment.

  4. Click View Grades by Item.

  5. Click the name of the assignment you want to delete.

  6. Click Item File Cleanup.

For each student who has begun or submitted the assignment, one or more rows appear with the student's name, the student's score on the assignment or Needs Grading, the name of the uploaded file, the file type (Student's File, Instructor's File to Student, or Instructor's Personal File), and the date the file was uploaded.

  1. Select the check box to the left of each file you want to remove from the course.

Tip: You can use the links at the top of the page to select or deselect all files, select files of a particular type, or select files only for assignments you have already graded.

  1. Click Delete, then click OK two times.

Note: You can also access the Item Options page by clicking a gradebook item in the spreadsheet view.
