Enabling Section Instructors to access your course

You can allow one or more Section Instructors to access your CourseCompass course so they can help create assessments, manage the gradebook, or modify other aspects of your course. CourseCompass Section Instructors have access to most of the course tools in the Control Panel.

Note: Before you can allow a Section Instructor to access your course, the Section Instructor must first register and enroll as a student in your course at www.coursecompass.com. To register, section instructors will need a student access code and the course ID. To obtain a student access code, contact your textbook sales representative or Customer Technical Support.

To give a student Section Instructor status:

1. Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.

2. Click Control Panel.

3. Click List/Modify Users under User Management.

4. Do one of the following to find the student to whom you want to give course access:

1. List all the students by clicking the List All tab, then clicking the List All button.

2. Search for students:

1. Search by last name or user name (a person's CourseCompass login name)

2. Search by letter or number

5. To the left of the Section Instructor's name, select Section Instructor Access.

6. Click Submit.

If you accidentally select the wrong name, you can easily restore the user's student role by repeating these steps but clearing the Section Instructor Access check box. The change is effective immediately and any grades associated with the student are restored.
