Modifying a self-assessment survey

You can modify a self-assessment survey after it has been deployed. Only textual changes to existing fields are allowed, for example to correct a typo or reword a confusing question.

Note: After making textual changes, existing attempts (self-assessment surveys that have been taken) will show the new text, not the original text.

If changes are needed, other than textual changes, create a new self-assessment survey. Any changes other than textual changes to existing fields will invalidate existing survey attempts and could corrupt the entire self-assessment survey and its gradebook entries.

To modify a self-assessment survey:

  1. Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.

  2. Click Control Panel and navigate to the self-assessment survey you want to modify.

  3. Click Modify next to the self-assessment survey you want to modify. The Self-Assessment Survey Canvas appears.

  4. Modify the self-assessment survey. After each modification, click Submit to be returned to the Self-Assessment Survey Canvas.

  5. When done modifying the survey, click OK.
