You can modify a self-assessment survey after it has been deployed. Only textual changes to existing fields are allowed, for example to correct a typo or reword a confusing question.
Note: After making textual changes, existing attempts (self-assessment surveys that have been taken) will show the new text, not the original text.
If changes are needed, other than textual changes, create a new self-assessment survey. Any changes other than textual changes to existing fields will invalidate existing survey attempts and could corrupt the entire self-assessment survey and its gradebook entries.
To modify a self-assessment survey:
Click the course name on the My CourseCompass page.
Click Control Panel and navigate to the self-assessment survey you want to modify.
If you created the survey in a content area, click the link corresponding to the area where you created the survey, for example, Course Documents or Assignments, and locate your survey. Then:
Click the Modify button to the right of the self-assessment survey. The Modify Self-Assessment Survey page appears.
Click the Modify the Self-Assessment Survey link. The Self-Assessment Survey Canvas appears. Continue on step 4.
If you are accessing your self-assessment survey via the Self-Assessment Survey Manager:
Click Self-Assessment Survey Manager under Assessment. The Self-Assessment Survey Canvas appears. Continue on step 3.
Click Modify next to the self-assessment survey you want to modify. The Self-Assessment Survey Canvas appears.
Modify the self-assessment survey. After each modification, click Submit to be returned to the Self-Assessment Survey Canvas.
When done modifying the survey, click OK.
