Every student is assigned a value for every item in the gradebook. The value is either a representation of a grade or a symbol that indicates the status of the student's work on that item.
The table below lists the grade symbols and explains what they represent.
Tip: In the spreadsheet view of the gradebook, a key that explains the symbols appears below the spreadsheet.

Work in Progress – The padlock symbol indicates that the student has begun the self-assessment survey but has not submitted it. It does not indicate that either you or the student are "locked out." Notes:
No Information – The student has neither taken nor submitted the self-assessment survey. | |
Completed – The student has submitted a self-assessment survey. Surveys typically are not scored, although you can assign a score to a survey if desired. Note: You can click this icon and enter a score for the survey, if you want. You can view the survey name and description and clear the student's self-assessment survey attempt. You cannot view the student's responses because surveys are taken anonymously. |
